External part of thee phase induction motors are stator Frame, motor shaft, front cover, back cover or fan cover with fan, terminal box and base.

Description; It is the outer part of three phase induction motor except for some special motors it is the stationary part of the motor that's why it is known as stator. Further the outer part is known as frame and is made up of cast iron consists of cooling strips and terminal box and the inner part is known as stator core which is made up of silicon steel.

Description; Frame of induction motor is made up of cast iron, it consists of terminal box and cooling strips. the work of frame is to hold down the complete assembly of motor, provide protection to the inner assembly and also work as magnetic circuit of the motor.

Description; Stator core of induction motor(single phase or three phase) is always made in multi layers and each layer in known as lamination. slots are made on inner periphery of lamination to carry stator winding.

Stator  Lamination of Three Phase Induction Motor
Description; Stator core of three phase induction motor is always made in multiple layers to reduce eddy current loss and each layer in known as lamination/stamping.  The lamination is made up of silicon steel especially CRNO and consists multiple numbers of slots on inner periphery these slots carry motor winding made up of copper wire/conductor .

Description; three different winding are wound for three different phases (R,Y,B) in the stator core of three phase induction motor and generally the ends of these winding are connected in the terminal box to form delta connection and however connection can be change as per requirement.
